VAR (Video Assistant Referee) Video Assistant Referee (VAR) is an association football assistant referee that reviews decisions made by the head referee with the use of video footage and a headset for communication. There are 4 types of calls that can be reviewed Goals and whether there was a violation during the buildup Penalty decisions Red card decisions ( Second yellow cards are not reviewable) Mistaken identity in awarding a red or yellow card The VAR will be either a current or former referee the VAR may be located in the stadium where the match is being played or at another location.  The problem with VAR is there is too much confusion on when it can and can't be used if the rules for using VAR where more clearer then I believe people will come round to using VAR. I think its a good idea but I believe when a  decision is being made on VAR the referee should stop the clock so there isn't like 5 minutes of added time added on. I also think there should be
